No engineering is possible without software in modern era

There is a misconception that computer and engineering are two different technological pursuits and hence, there is hardly any relation between the two. In fact, people quite often associate engineering with large sale macroscopic projects associated with heavy machinery, while computer and associated activities are perceived as certain effects, which deal with microscopic elements like computer chips, development of software languages and the likes.

However, this is far from reality. The 90s and the following years saw a seamless marriage between these two fields and this merger gave rise to a new field called software engineering. Now getting back to the traditional streams of engineering, even these traditional engineering fields have seen introduction of computer-aided techniques and technologies, to facilitate better end products and results that are free of any human error. Moreover, introduction of computer technology has seen a momentous expansion of ways that can be followed for pursuing the activities. This is one of the reasons why there has been a substantial growth of SoftwareDevelopment Company in India. Here are a few instances that will prove that today engineering is virtually impossible sans computer software.
CAD software
One of the most significant use of computer aided techniques or technologies is CAD or Computer Aided Design software. It is basically an application of a particular technology, which facilitates foolproof designing. This is used in various art forms, notably industrial art and is extensively used in various industry sectors. The principal industry sectors that benefit from CAD are automobile manufacturing, aerospace, architectural, shipbuilding, prosthetic, various agricultural projects and the likes. CAD is now being used in creating special effect in films all over the world. This has mainly been the result of the merger of GUI or Graphic User Interface and the NURBS or Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines geometry.

Product Lifestyle Management
Introduction of CAD is mainly the result of the advent of PLM or Product Lifestyle Management in engineering. It predominantly involves tracing of a product right from its inception till it rolls out from the production facility. PLM consists of PDM or Product Data Management, which is turn, is used for studying and assessing buildings and other structures for their structural integrity and in the field of ergonomics, electromagnetic emissions and even in electrical engineering. PLM also assist the engineers in completing specified tasks like setting up circuit boards and schematics. It also helps in civil engineering.

Advanced Knowledge of technology applications and related issues
One very effective effect of the amalgamation of engineering and computer technology is the use of computer simulations of the origami models for assisting assembly and deployment of space satellites. These origami models developed with the help of computer technology are also used in a wide range of nano-technological applications, which also include endeavors that involve development of durable as well as sustainable materials or substances needed in the manufacturing sector.

Due to these and many more reasons, each and every leading software development company in India is coming up with software programs and platforms that help in various ways the professionals working in various sectors of engineering.
